About me

Marta Lucjan is a dynamic Polish violinist deeply committed to the exploration and performance of contemporary music. She obtained a Master's degree in Specialized New Music at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, studying with Corina Belcea. Marta’s contemporary music studies were supported with a scholarship from the Nicati - de Luze Foundation. In August 2025, Marta was awarded the Eduard Tschumi Preis for the highest-graded graduating recital at the Hochschule der Künste Bern. Marta is the founding member of the Aventurin Quartett.
Marta's commitment to musical excellence is evident in her diverse educational background. She completed her studies at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice under the tutelage of Beata Warykiewicz-Siwy and Jakub Jakowicz. While there, she received training from the Quartetto di Cremona at the Accademia Stauffer in Italy.
During her studies in Cremona, Marta was the lead violinist of the Al Pari Quartet, with which she had the privilege of recording the album "World Dialogue" alongside the world-renowned Kronos Quartet, performing new compositions by Stephan Thelen.
As a soloist, Marta's performances with the Camerata Sariensis and the Orchestra da Camera di Lugano have been celebrated for her artistry.
Since September 2022, she has been playing on a Nicolò Amati violin made in 1660, which was lent to her by the Lotti Kahl Foundation.
